Maintenance - Assistant Service Manager
About the role
We are now seeking an Assistant Service Manager with a "Whatever It Takes" approach to join our team. This full-time role involves ensuring the physical aspects of the community meet both company standards and applicable laws. You will manage, develop, and mentor the team in diagnosing problems and making repairs. Expert knowledge and troubleshooting in areas like HVAC, electrical, plumbing, pool maintenance, carpentry, dry walling, exterior structure, and appliance repair are essential.
Responsibilities
- Provide expert knowledge and troubleshooting in various maintenance areas.
- Manage and organize inventory of all maintenance materials.
- Establish and prepare a 24-hour on-call schedule for the team.
- Inspect community buildings, including vacant units.
- Complete tasks assigned by the Service Manager.
Requirements
- Active and valid driver’s license and personal vehicle.
- HVAC/EPA/CFC Certification preferred.
- One-year certificate, 2-4 years of related experience, or equivalent education and experience.
Qualifications
Knowledge of local building codes and regulations is beneficial. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is preferred.

Pay
Base Pay: $21.00 - $24.00
Up to 50% Rent Discount
Property Staff Shared Renewal Commissions
Schedule
Paid rotating on-call participation required.
Must be available and prepared for emergency events.
Schedule subject to change based on business need.
