About the role

We are now hiring an Assistant Service Manager to join our dynamic team at Morgan Properties. This position offers a unique opportunity to grow your career while contributing to the maintenance and growth of our communities.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that the physical aspects of the community meet both company standards and applicable laws.
  • Manage, develop, and mentor the team in diagnosing problems and making repairs.
  • Provide expert knowledge and troubleshooting in areas such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, pool maintenance, carpentry, dry walling, exterior structure, and appliance repair.
  • Establish and prepare a 24-hour on-call schedule for your team, and personally be available in case of emergencies.
  • Manage and organize inventory of all maintenance materials.
  • Establish an on-call schedule, preventive maintenance schedule, make-ready schedule, and general work order schedule for the team.
  • Regularly inspect community buildings, including vacant units.
  • Complete tasks assigned by the Service Manager.

Requirements

  • Active and valid driver’s license and personal vehicle.
  • HVAC/EPA/CFC Certification preferred.
  • One-year certificate, 2-4 years of related experience, or equivalent education and experience.

Qualifications

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of building codes and safety regulations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Skills

  • Technical aptitude in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry.
  • Problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Benefits

  • Compensation: Base Pay: $28.00 - $34.00, Up to 50% Rent Discount, Property Staff Shared Renewal Commissions, Morgan Essentials: $300 quarterly, On-Call Appreciation: $15/day for holding the on-call phone.

Pay

Base Pay: $28.00 - $34.00

Schedule
