Maintenance Assistant

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot building mechanical problems.
• Perform miscellaneous repairs, scheduled, and preventative maintenance on equipment ensuring satisfactory operations.
• Work with a working knowledge of electrical systems, various heating, ventilating, and air conditioning systems.
• Follow established safety rules, policies, and procedures of the maintenance department.
• Other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Director and Administrator.

Qualifications

• A High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work independently or part of a group.
• Computer knowledge.
• Previous long term care experience is preferred.
• Working understanding of physical plant repairs / preventative maintenance and grounds maintenance.
• Valid drivers license.
