About the role
Full-Time Maintenance Assistant position with a Monday through Friday 1st shift schedule, including on-call duty every other weekend.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot building mechanical problems.
- Perform miscellaneous repairs, scheduled, and preventative maintenance on equipment to ensure satisfactory operations.
- Maintain working knowledge of electrical systems, heating, ventilating, and air conditioning systems.
- Follow established safety rules, policies, and procedures of the maintenance department.
- On-call duty.
- Other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Director and Administrator.
Requirements
- Maintenance apprenticeship desirable.
- Previous long-term care experience is desirable.
- Experience in basic repair and maintenance such as plumbing, carpentry, and painting.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a group.
- Computer knowledge.
Previous long-term care experience is preferred but not required.
Schedule
Monday through Friday, 1st shift, with on-call duty every other weekend.
