Maintenance Assistant - AL

The Sycamore of River Falls is a full-service senior living community with 84 apartments, including 68 blended independent and assisted living units and 16 memory care apartments in a secured neighborhood on the first floor. The property also features four villa patio twin homes with two- and three-bedroom options for active, independent seniors. The apartment building offers studios, one-bedroom, one-bedroom plus den, and two-bedroom units. Amenities include an underground parking garage with 50 stalls, maintenance rooms, and resident storage. Managed by Ebenezer, this newer care facility is located in River Falls, WI.

Responsibilities

• Repairs and maintains physical structure and grounds, including items found deficient by maintenance or requested via work orders.
• Changes filters and checks belts on air handler units.
• Inspects and maintains kitchen equipment.
• Greases, checks belts, and oils laundry equipment.
• Assists housekeeping as requested.
• Helps with moving boxes, furniture, and similar tasks.
• Maintains a clean and orderly shop.
• Removes snow from sidewalks and walkways, applies ice melt as needed.
• Trims bushes, trees, and sidewalks; removes debris and downed palm fronds.
• Ensures grounds are safe, neat, and attractive.
• Processes work orders and performs other assigned duties.
• Assists with apartment turnover for new residents.
• Monitors preventative maintenance programs and repairs building systems and equipment.
• Trains other building staff on basic troubleshooting of building systems and equipment.

Requirements

• 1 year of experience with mechanical (HVAC), plumbing, and electrical systems.
• Valid driver’s license.

Preferred Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.

Pay

Compensation is determined by factors such as skills, knowledge, relevant education, experience, and market conditions.
