Responsibilities

• Participate in daily activities and operations of the Mount Juliet Distribution Warehouse.
• Perform semi-skilled functions supporting facility and warehouse equipment maintenance under limited supervision.
• Troubleshoot minor maintenance problems involving electrical, structural, plumbing, and equipment repair or replacement.
• Perform preventative building maintenance duties, including light construction.
• Conduct routine plumbing repairs, such as unclogging toilets, sinks, or urinals, fixing water leaks, and repairing leaking faucets.
• Perform routine electrical repairs, such as changing light bulbs or fluorescent lamps.
• Assemble and move furniture, hang pictures and bulletin boards, and set up tables and chairs.
• Repair and replace doorknobs or locks, repair door closures, and patch holes in walls.
• Paint interior and exterior of the building.
• Operate all equipment and demonstrate knowledge of hydraulics.
• Maintain conveyors (oiling chains and adjusting settings).

Requirements

• Prefer 1-year previous experience in Industrial Maintenance.
• Knowledge of building maintenance and repair.
• Knowledge of machinery, equipment, and tools necessary for maintenance and repair.
• Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety.
• Skilled in reading and following assembly directions.
• Skilled in following safety practices and recognizing hazards.
• Skilled in using hand and power tools.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff and leadership.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
• Ability to work the 2nd shift schedule: Monday through Friday, 3:00pm to 11:30pm CT, with flexibility for overtime as needed.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Must pass required OSHA CERTIFIED Written Test.
• Must pass pre-employment basic aptitude driving test.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screening and background check.

Physical Demands

• Ability to focus on details and maintain accuracy.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Ability to lift 25-50 lbs.
• Ability to operate a manual pallet jack.

2nd shift: Monday through Friday, 3:00pm to 11:30pm CT.
