Maintenance - 2nd Shift

About the role
This second-shift position (3 PM–11 PM, Monday–Friday with overtime) is based at the PCA Box Plant in Columbus, Indiana. Maintenance Technicians perform a variety of tasks, including diagnosing, repairing, rebuilding, or replacing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems on plant equipment. The role is multicraft, and PCA provides paid training to develop these skills. Technicians work as part of a team to safely perform preventive maintenance and respond to breakdowns in a production environment.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose, repair, rebuild, or replace mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems on plant equipment.
- Perform preventive maintenance activities in a production environment.
- Respond to equipment breakdowns as part of a maintenance team.
- Work safely and collaboratively in a fast-paced industrial setting.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience troubleshooting and repairing industrial machinery.
- Technical degree in mechanical or electrical trades (preferred).
- Authorization to work in the U.S.
- Experience in corrugated packaging or printing (a plus).
- Willingness to work 3 shifts based on plant needs and seniority (shift changes available with organizational or schedule adjustments).
Pay
Starting pay range: $27.79–$41.00 per hour, based on mechanical and electrical skills and experience. Overtime pay includes:
- 1.5x pay for hours over 40 per week.
- 1.5x pay for Saturday and Sunday shifts.
- 1.5x pay for holidays, plus additional overtime for hours over 8 on holidays.
Annual bonus based on plant performance metrics.
