About the role

Ensure interactions with internal and external guests follow the guidelines of the ACES Customer Service Program. Balance currency, coin, and checks in cash drawers at ends of shifts, and calculate daily transactions. Count currency, coins, and checks received, by hand or using a currency-counting machine. Identify transaction mistakes when debits and credits do not balance. Receive soft count funds from the count room and revenue drops from other departments. Manage and monitor inventory levels and balance the NRT kiosks for a specific shift. Assist Supervisor with deposits to outside banking institutions. Communicate status of fluctuating cash levels to appropriate management. Work the Player Services frontline window as assigned. Answer phone calls with proper phone etiquette. Comply with state, company, and department policies and regulations. Assist supervisors and co-workers as needed. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum of 21 years of age
• High School diploma or equivalent
• One plus years of cashiering experience and/or heavy money handling experience
• Able to promptly and accurately follow instructions given by Supervisor or Manager
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
• Ability to write simple correspondence
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
• Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
• Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
• Must be licensed by the Maine Gaming Board
• Physically mobile with reasonable accommodations including ability to push, pull, carry and lift up to 25 lbs., and the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel, and balance when performing job duties in varying work areas such as confined spaces
