Mailroom and Copy Center Specialist - Part Time

About the role
We are seeking a professional and knowledgeable Mailroom and Copy Center Specialist to join our team. This role involves operating commercial copying equipment and offset duplicating machines to produce high-volume printed materials, as well as managing incoming and outgoing mail and packages for the company.
Responsibilities
- Collect, deliver, process, and sort incoming/outgoing mail via USPS, FedEx, UPS, and inner office systems, including large volumes of packages.
- Operate and maintain commercial copiers and printers to fulfill the printing needs of the company and its member grocery stores.
- Maintain print production job logs for internal and external billing purposes.
- Manage inventory of copier/printer paper, envelopes, and printing supplies.
- Serve as a backup for other mailroom staff during scheduled vacations or as needed.
- Act as a backup courier to pick up and deliver mail and packages (requires a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record).
- Sort incoming mail for internal distribution and prepare outgoing mail using a postage machine.
- Sort store mail for weekly deliveries.
- Adhere to strict deadlines and quality control standards to support on-time shipping of weekly advertising circulars and point-of-sale materials for retail stores.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Basic knowledge of commercial printers, collators, inserters, and folding machines, including daily and routine upkeep (equipment is vendor-maintained).
- Understanding of postal regulations, including bulk mailing requirements and postage rates.
- Knowledge of mailroom processes, procedures, and equipment (e.g., envelope slicer, postage machine, paper cutter).
- Ability to meet strict deadlines and manage time effectively to prioritize daily tasks.
- Strong coordination and communication skills to work with multiple departments.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs frequently, with occasional lifting up to 75 lbs.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Schedule
Part-time, approximately 27 hours per week. Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., including a 30-minute lunch and two paid 15-minute breaks. Training schedule may differ and will be outlined during the interview.
Pay
Starting salary of $19/hour.
