• At least 18 years of age
• Valid Maine driver's license
• Able to lift 70 lbs.
• Able to work in all types of weather conditions
• Must reside in the area
• Must furnish OWN vehicle, which meets postal regulations, and meet postal driving requirements
• One (1) Dependable (Mini-Van or Equivalent) vehicle or the equivalent that provides 120 cubic feet of usable load space for mail and parcels
• $100,000/$500,000/$100,000 or $600,000 (CSL) of liability insurance for contract vehicle
• Applicant is responsible for all vehicle maintenance, fuel and insurance cost
• Must be able to pass a drug test
• Must have a criminal background history that meets USPS standards

Responsibilities

• Sorting mail in delivery sequence for 445 active boxes
• Loading mail and parcels in delivery sequence into delivery vehicle
• Delivering mail along an assigned 38.6 mile line-of-travel
• Dismounting if required to deliver parcels, Express mail, and other accountable mail items
• Other administrative duties are required

Schedule

• Hiring for full and part time
• Part time will generally be one day per week
• Rotating Saturdays for both positions
• Day Shift - 8:30am – 3:30pm (start and end time may vary)

Pay

$24.26/hour PLUS vehicle reimbursement. Straight time, Health & Welfare, Holiday and Vehicle Reimbursement paid out. Benefits paid as cash equivalency up to the maximum of 40 hours per week per the DoL Wage Determination under the Service Contract Act. Vehicle reimbursement paid on top of hourly rate. Rate of pay and cash equivalent benefits exceed the requirements set by the Department of Labor Employment Standards Administration Wage and Hour Division.
