Responsibilities
- Train to work in a work center and perform specific machinist functions.
- Under direct supervision, verify conformance of finished work to ensure compliance to tolerance and company specifications.
- Identify dull and worn inserts or tools.
- Learn the basic preventive maintenance of machines.
- Perform in-process inspection using precision measuring instruments.
- Perform other related duties as directed.
Requirements
- High school graduate; GED; BOCES Machine Shop classes; or Skilled trade school graduate.
- Basic shop math skills.
- Basic blue print reading skills.
- Basic mechanical ability.
- Problem solving skills.
- Experience in order of operations.
