Responsibilities

• Train to work in a work center and perform specific machinist functions.
• Under direct supervision, verify conformance of finished work to ensure compliance to tolerance and company specifications.
• Identify dull and worn inserts or tools.
• Learn the basic preventive maintenance of machines.
• Perform in-process inspection using precision measuring instruments.
• Perform other related duties as directed.

Requirements

• High school graduate; GED; BOCES Machine Shop classes; or Skilled trade school graduate.
• Basic shop math skills.
• Basic blue print reading skills.
• Basic mechanical ability.
• Problem solving skills.
• Experience in order of operations.

Qualifications
