Machinist II
Responsibilities
- Performs more complex machining operations independently, including setup, programming adjustments, and precision fabrication of metal components.
- Reads and interprets engineering drawings, selects appropriate tooling, and ensures parts meet dimensional and surface finish requirements.
- Troubleshoots machining issues, verifies tolerances using precision instruments, and contributes to process efficiency and quality improvements.
- Mentors entry-level machinists while maintaining safe and efficient work practices.
Requirements
- Solid technical knowledge of manual and CNC machining practices.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to contribute to process efficiency and quality improvements.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years of related experience in machining or related field.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Experience with manual and CNC machining tools and equipment.
- Knowledge of precision measuring instruments and techniques.
