Machinist - CNC Lathe Turning

About the role

Machinists are responsible for operating various machine tools to manufacture parts and components to precise specifications. The position involves setting up machines, operating them, and maintaining quality control.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC lathes and manual machining equipment to produce precision parts
• Set up and adjust machines according to blueprints and specifications
• Inspect workpieces for conformance to design and quality standards
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work area
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and efficiency

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least 2 years of related experience in machining or manufacturing
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills

Qualifications

• Proficiency with CNC lathes and manual machining tools
• Experience with quality assurance and inspection processes
• Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations

Skills

• Proficient in using computer-aided design (CAD) software
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
