Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, travelers, and work instructions, including GD&T.
- Program and setup CNC Lathe machines.
- Identify process issues and suggest continuous improvement opportunities.
- Tend to one or more machine tools, special-purpose machines, or industrial robots to machine metal work pieces to specification on production basis.
- Start and monitor machining operations, making offsets and adjustments as needed.
- Inspect and measure machined work pieces - using instruments such as optical comparator, fixed gauges, calipers, and micrometer - to verify conformance to specifications.
- May perform basic deburring, sanding, filing, or finishing of machined parts.
- May clean machined components using approved cleaning or degreasing methods.
- Show attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Follow all safety policies and required PPE guidelines.
Qualifications
- +3 years minimum CNC machining experience or Apprenticeship or College certificate of completion.
- Basic computer skills such as e-mailing, opening, and printing documents and navigating windows/internet explorer.
- Working knowledge of CNC Lathe G-code and M-code programming.
Physical Demands
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds by self in safe manner.
