Machinist A - 2nd shift

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate manual lathes.
• Interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Use controls and precision measurement tools.
• Perform lathe machining operations, including rough and finish machining on both CNC and manual machines.
• Conduct quality checks and utilize precision measurement devices.
• Monitor machine operations and perform setups independently.
• Operate and understand advanced machine tools, such as CNC.
• Perform other duties as responsibilities necessitate.

Requirements

• Must be able to work over 8 hours in a shift.
• Crane and hoisting experience is a plus.
• Ability to read blueprints and understand geometric tolerances.
• Instrumentation and gaging skills required; familiarity with machinist tools and hand tools (e.g., micrometers, verniers, indicators, scales, dial bore gage).
• Open to coaching and training with a willingness to learn all machines within a cell.
• Some physical effort required (average 25 lbs).
• US Citizenship is required for Department of Defense (DOD) requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent; concentration in machining is a plus.
• Minimum of three years of experience required.
