About the Role
Under direct supervision, level one part finishers complete part finishing tasks such as visual inspection, part cleaning, minor paint touch-up, minor assembly, part marking, and part polishing. This role requires basic mechanical aptitude, basic shop math, and the use of common hand tools and powered equipment like part marking and polishing tools.
Responsibilities
- Work safely under functional safety guidelines such as PPE and equipment interaction
- Perform in-process inspection (visual & functional, recording)
- Set work priority and schedule
- Perform full machine setups
- Provide leadership and training to lower-level employees
- Complete production paperwork and operation audits
Requirements
- Ability to read and write English
- Basic inspection processes (tools & measurements)
- Advanced understanding of machine function (setups)
- Advanced knowledge of tools (drills, reams, taps)
- Strong communication skills (with manufacturing engineers, QA, closing, and management)
- Typically 2–4 years of recent and relevant work experience or training
- High school diploma or GED
