Machinist 2nd shift

We are seeking a Machinist to join our Delavan, WI team.

Responsibilities

• Set up, gauge, and run production on castings using CNC lathes or mills, including full tooling and fixturing setup.
• Utilize CNC equipment, manual machines, overhead hoists, hand tools, power tools, air tools, and fractometer.
• Use precision measuring gauges (calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, gauge blocks, etc.) to check dimensions.
• Read blueprints and interpret GD&T.
• Make offsets and minor edits to keep parts in tolerance.
• Maintain proper coolant ratios and levels; perform autonomous maintenance tasks.
• Perform operations such as facing, turning, boring, chamfering, grooving, threading, drilling, tapping, and deburring a variety of materials and parts.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of CNC mill and lathe setup and operation experience (preferred but not required).
• Strong understanding of GD&T, blueprint reading, and shop math.
• Ability to multi‑task to keep production running smoothly.
• Mechanical aptitude and the right attitude.

Physical Requirements

• Standing, walking, twisting at the waist.
• Lifting and lowering weights up to 50 lb.

Schedule

• 2nd shift: 2:00 pm – 10:00 pm, Monday – Friday.
• Overtime available.
• 8 % shift differential for 2nd shift.

Pay

The hourly pay for this role is $28 – $30 /hr. DOE, with an 8 % shift differential for 2nd shift. Opportunity for a rate increase after proficiency in certain skills and completion of training. A $1,000 hiring bonus is payable in two installments ($500 after 90 days and $500 after 6 months), subject to repayment if employment ends within one year.
