About the Role
Lead daily machining operations, driving a skilled team to deliver high-quality products on time while maximizing productivity and efficiency. Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement in a fast-paced aerospace machining environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead and inspire a team of machining professionals
- Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement
- Ensure customer quality requirements and delivery commitments are met
- Drive productivity improvements through equipment, tooling, and process enhancements
- Hire, train, coach, and develop team members for long-term success
- Manage departmental staffing, scheduling, and budget performance
- Champion Lean Manufacturing, 6S, and operational excellence initiatives
- Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Operations, and other departments to optimize production
- Lead performance reviews, cross-training efforts, and workforce development
- Present operational metrics and lead improvement-focused meetings
- Work with customers, auditors, and business partners as needed
Requirements
- Vocational training, some college coursework, or equivalent industry experience
- Manufacturing or machining leadership experience preferred
- Experience supervising production teams
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, continuous improvement, and production best practices
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while delivering results
Skills
- Hands-on experience with 3 axis, 5 axis, Mazak, Integrex, or similar machining equipment
- Strong leadership and decision-making skills
- Highly motivated, energetic, and proactive
- Clear and effective communication

Work Environment

- Exposure to manufacturing environments that may include machine noise, temperature fluctuations, and standard industrial safety requirements
