About the role
Machining Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the machining department, ensuring all equipment is maintained, and managing a team of machinists.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of the machining department
- Ensure all machinery is properly maintained and calibrated
- Manage and train a team of machinists
- Implement safety protocols and conduct regular inspections
- Collaborate with other departments to meet production goals
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a supervisory role within manufacturing
- Proficient in CNC machine operation and maintenance
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license
- Experience with quality control systems
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles
