About the role

This position plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of manufacturing equipment during non-daytime hours. You will troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on a variety of machines to minimize downtime and maintain production efficiency. Collaborating closely with production teams, you will quickly address mechanical issues and support continuous manufacturing processes. Safety awareness is critical to ensure compliance with workplace regulations and maintain a hazard-free environment during all shifts.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on machinery to ensure optimal performance and prevent unexpected breakdowns.
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues using appropriate tools and techniques, and execute timely repairs.
  • Collaborate with production staff to identify and resolve equipment malfunctions that impact manufacturing processes.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts inventory to support operational transparency and compliance.
  • Adhere strictly to safety guidelines and company policies to promote a safe and efficient work environment during 2nd and 3rd shifts.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Technical certification or vocational training in industrial maintenance, mechanical technology, or a related field.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and experience working with industrial machinery.
  • Knowledge of electrical systems and Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and nights on 2nd and 3rd shifts.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to follow safety protocols and work independently with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

  • Experience with electrical systems, pneumatics, and hydraulics in a manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
  • Previous experience working in a 24/7 manufacturing operation.
  • Basic welding or fabrication skills.

Pay

$18.00 to $22.00 hourly

Schedule

Full-time, 2nd and 3rd shifts

Working conditions

Our manufacturing plant is comprised of enclosed office and manufacturing space. This position requires:

  • Ability to move throughout the entire facility to attend to various issues.
  • Effective teamwork across functional groups with strong communication skills and the ability to lead.
  • Performing sedentary work on various computer systems.
