Machine Technician I

Duties / Responsibilities

• Ensure all Sorter machines are fully operational.
• Keep the parts inventory up to date.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on all barcode printers.
• Run all project tests and inspect products to ensure they meet required parameters and quality standards.
• Avoid production delays by supervising and checking machines before high monthly production volumes.

Requirements

• Mail Sorter or Printer maintenance experience.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Organized and proactive.
• Inventory management knowledge.
• Printing and mail experience (plus).
• Excellent interpersonal relations.
• Microsoft Office and Outlook skills.

Physical Requirements And Working Conditions

• Lifting requirements of 35 lbs.
• Prolonged periods of standing at workstation.
• Extended periods of focused reading of mail pieces and labels.
• Continuous standing, walking, reaching, extending, bending, stooping, and squatting throughout the shift.
• Exposure to a loud noise environment.
• Exposure to dust.
• Extended work shifts may be required due to business needs.
• The flexibility to work overtime and weekends is required.
