About the role
Set up and operate one or more machines to cut and process screen frame material to specifications or cut and punch wood, metal, or glass materials. Direct other personnel to assist in maximizing equipment efficiency. Adjust machines to produce parts within tolerance and maintain scrap at acceptable levels.
Responsibilities
- Inspect quality of parts for dimensional accuracy, camber, bow, and scratches.
- Perform quality checks using caliper and tape measure or check gauge.
- Perform tooling changeovers, change saw blades, and adjust depth of cut as necessary.
- Enter production orders into controller.
- Lubricate machine and tooling per preventative maintenance schedule or as needed.
- Perform all cleaning requirements necessary to meet specifications.
- Operate equipment within safety guidelines and report any nonconformance.
- Maintain all required documentation.
- Train and assist personnel with processes.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
- Reading and writing skills are essential.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple correspondence and specified instructions.
- Ability to add and subtract in all units of measure using whole numbers.
- Ability to measure, read, and understand a tape measure.
