About the role
The Engineering Team at Milwaukee Tool is dedicated to bringing to life the batteries, motors, and electronics that power our innovative solutions. Responsibilities
- Manufacturing quality products by operating and maintaining equipment and processes to provide excellent customer service.
- Enhancing department safety, quality, and productivity by implementing compliance issues such as safety, quality, environmental, and MT/plant policies.
- Contributing to continuous improvement projects as required.
- Knowing and adhering to all safety requirements in the work area.
- Housekeeping: following all policies and schedules.
- Understanding and demonstrating the use of all gauges in the cell.
- Understanding tolerances and making offsets to stay in spec.
- Utilizing quality tools like SPC, OEE, etc.
- Operating a minimum of one machine efficiently (85% or better).
- Performing set-ups (change overs) following procedures in a timely manner.
- Troubleshooting equipment, including automated operations, tooling, controls, and sensors.
- Assisting maintenance in preventative maintenance responsibilities.
- Updating preventative maintenance schedules and conducting routine equipment/product inspections.
- Completing minor equipment repairs and providing feedback to Maintenance and Supervisor.
- Informing Supervisor or Department Manager about processes or equipment needing attention.
- Recommend and participate in continuous improvement projects.
- Completing additional duties as assigned.
- Implementing 5S practices in the assigned work area and throughout the department.
Requirements
- Demonstrate good written and oral communication skills.
- Able to interpret technical data, including drawings and OMS.
- Proficient in using common inspection and test equipment.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- High School or GED diploma required.
- Technical Certification in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Automation preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in maintenance, mechanical, or technical field at Milwaukee Tool or similar employer.
