Machine Specialist (2nd and 3rd shifts)

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Responsible to set up a safe, efficient, operation of 10 or more types of machinery.
• Makes minor repairs, as outlined by maintenance and/or mechanical technician.
• Will assist maintenance as required in the repair of overhaul of machines in assigned area.
• Responsible for keeping machines clean and in good mechanical condition.
• Performs stock work as assigned.
• Checks for proper identification on inbound and outbound stock in assigned area.
• To be alert and quality conscious at all times and strive to produce the best quality product possible.
• Maintains production orders and machine logs as operation requires.
• Responsible for good housekeeping and orderly arrangement of materials and equipment in assigned area.

Physical Demands

• Strenuous lifting and moving of machinery will be periodically required.
• Must be able to release jobs on the computer and use the computer to check component requirements.

Work Environment

• May be required to work in temperature extremes and crowded, dusty conditions.
• Work area needs to be clean of any debris to insure the area is a safe work space.
• A fast-paced environment with an occasional heavy workload.
• Job may require working more than 40 hours a week at times.
• Frequent fixed deadlines.

Experience Required

• 1 year experience working in Manufacturing.

Education Required

• Required Education: High School or equivalent.
• Must be able to pass a mechanical, mathematical, and measurement test.
