Machine Operator 2nd & 3rd Shift

About the role

Operate and maintain production equipment on 2nd and 3rd shifts in a frozen-bakery environment.

Responsibilities

• Set up and maintain assigned equipment
• Operate equipment to produce product within specification and line-speed targets
• Maintain a clean work environment throughout the shift
• Accurately complete all required production documentation
• Perform basic troubleshooting on assigned equipment
• Work with support groups to minimize line downtime and ensure on-time starts
• Sweep and clean work area during and after the shift
• Cross-train on other machines and in other areas as needed

Requirements

• Current position held for at least 6 months with no more than 3.0 attendance occurrences and no active disciplinary actions
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
• Good safety habits and record
• Adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
• Reliable attendance and punctuality
• Good housekeeping practices
• Organizational and basic written skills
• General computer knowledge
• Willingness to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly
• Ability to stand for 8–12 hour shifts
• Willingness to work in a production environment requiring PPE: safety glasses, hair/beard net, hearing protection, and rubber boots with safety toe (provided)
• Ability to work in both cold and hot environments
• Flexibility to perform additional tasks and cross-train as needed

Schedule

8–12 hour shifts on 2nd and 3rd shift schedules.
