Machine Shop CNC Operator
PRO-LOK, a manufacturer and distributor of security door hardware tools and solutions, is seeking a Shipping, Production, and Warehouse Worker for its manufacturing facility in Orange, CA. This position reports to the Warehouse/Production Manager. The company is an American-made manufacturer based in Orange, California, engineering time-saving solutions using high-quality materials and best manufacturing practices.
About the role
The Shipping, Production, and Warehouse Worker will ensure the efficient, safe, and accurate handling of materials and finished goods, involving packaging, production support, and warehouse duties, including operating a forklift.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a forklift to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise.
- Box, package, and prepare finished products for secure shipping and distribution.
- Pick, pack, and process outbound orders accurately according to customer specifications.
- Receive, unload, and properly store incoming shipments and raw materials.
- Assist the production team with assembling, staging, and transporting materials as needed.
- Conform to company policies and procedures, including accurately counting parts and filling out required shipping/receiving paperwork.
- Check and inspect packaged goods ensuring labels and measurements are accurate.
- Clean and maintain the warehouse work area, floors, tools, and equipment as needed.
Requirements
- Basic reading, writing, and math skills (high school diploma or equivalent).
- Prior experience safely operating a forklift in a warehouse or manufacturing setting.
- 1+ years of experience working in a warehouse, shipping, or semi-automated manufacturing environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; detail-oriented and able to follow written and oral instruction.
- Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills.
- Good physical condition, capable of lifting 50 lbs and working on your feet for extended periods.
- Must pass E-Verify, a criminal background check, and/or pre-employment physical and drug screening.
Preferred Qualifications
- Active or recent Forklift Certification.
- Familiarity with shipping software or barcode scanning equipment.
- Cross-training experience in light production or machine shop environments.
Pay
Compensation is based on experience, with a starting rate of $19 - $22/hr.
Schedule
40-hour work week plus potential for overtime if desired.
