CNC Machine Operator

Duties

• Set up and operate CNC and Non-CNC machines to perform tasks such as drilling, grinding, and milling.
• Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and inspection procedures (IPs).
• Load raw materials and parts onto the machines.
• Monitor machine operations and make adjustments as needed to ensure quality and accuracy.
• Inspect finished products for defects and ensure they meet quality standards.
• Perform routine maintenance on machines and troubleshoot issues.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Document production and inspection results accurately.
• Input accurate information to the ERP system.

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

• General work practices and department policies/procedures.
• Understanding of MRP related to job.
• Reading and understanding Engineering drawings.
• Problem solving and troubleshooting problems on setups on CNC machines.
• All tools and equipment used in the department.
• Understand and follow inspection procedures for production.
• Reading and math skills.
• Understand job scheduling and rotations to go from one job to the next without hesitation.
• Communicate effectively.
• Lift material up to 50 pounds.
• Willingness to learn from mentors.
• Good listening skills, understand and follow instructions and retain information.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED.
