About the role

Refresco is the leading global independent beverage solutions provider, producing drinks for national and international retailers and brands distributed worldwide from sites in Europe, North America, and Australia.

Pay

Contractual hourly wage rate is $22.50 per hour with an additional $0.20 per hour for 2nd and 3rd shift allowance.

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to all health and safety policies/procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) in warehouse or production areas (hairnets/beard nets, safety glasses, hearing protection, hard toe and slip/oil resistant shoes, appropriate safety gloves, seatbelts while operating forklifts).
  • Adhere to food quality and food safety standards provided by corporate, customer, and/or governing bodies (e.g., SQF).
  • Read, understand, and adhere to production manufacturing schedules; communicate issues or deviations to appropriate parties.
  • Maintain production flow by monitoring downstream and upstream issues, supplying raw materials, and performing minor servicing as needed.
  • Follow all Quality Assurance and Production line standard operating procedures.
  • Perform equipment changeovers; read imperial and metric measurements.
  • Record production and quality information; maintain accurate downtime reports and documentation.
  • Perform equipment and general sanitation in assigned work areas.
  • Collaborate with departments to improve quality, increase efficiencies, and reduce waste.
  • Identify production or machine-related issues using visual and auditory cues.
  • Perform minor machine maintenance.
  • Complete other duties as assigned by leadership, including cross-training, general and plant sanitation, inventory management, and training.

Required Skills

  • Experience in a high-speed beverage production environment; beverage production experience preferred.
  • Ability to understand production machinery/forklifts and recognize technical issues.
  • Capacity to work quickly and accurately under pressure.
  • Basic mathematical abilities.
  • Skill in interpreting gauges, thermometers, and weight measurements.
  • Formal training in areas such as WHIMIS, HACCP, Hygiene, etc., preferred.
  • Forklift certification may be required.

  • Safety Awareness: Knowledge of safety protocols, hazard identification, and adherence to safety regulations; timely completion of required monthly training.
  • Communication Skills: Effective verbal and written communication with team members and supervisors; accurate reporting of issues and collaboration to ensure smooth workflow; follow equipment downtime escalation process schedule.

Requirements

  • High School Certification or equivalent.
  • 1–3 years of relevant work experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.

Schedule

Weekdays, weekends, afternoons, evenings, overnight, and holidays may be required. Overtime scheduled as needed.

Working Conditions

Fast-paced production plant with numerous moving parts; noise levels require hearing protection; temperatures can be very hot or cold. Structured environment with clear production targets and schedules.

  • Mental Stress: Pronounced pressure from deadlines, production quotas, accuracy, and similar demands.
