Machine Operators
Sika is looking for an experienced Machine Operator to join its growing team in the Sealy, TX area for our Roofing business. All shifts are available (1st, 2nd, and 3rd).
Responsibilities
- Support a PLC-controlled 120" wide tandem flexible PVC extrusion coating line
- Set up, operate, break down, and clean all components of the line
- Develop proper processing parameters during operation to optimize line speeds and yields
- Safely operate forklifts to transport materials to workstations
- Ensure proper quality review of the product on workstations assigned
- Follow all company policies, including environmental policy, and notify supervisor of any concern that may affect work area or company property
- Perform miscellaneous tasks as assigned
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Prior experience with plastics, vinyl coating, lamination, or printing production highly desirable
- Ability to read and write English
- Good verbal communication skills
- Understanding of how to use a touch-screen (PLC) production line
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Ability to tolerate extreme temperatures
- Ability and willingness to work overtime if required
- Availability and willingness to cover any shift with prior notification
