About the role
LISI AEROSPACE is seeking a Production Machine Trainee to join our dynamic team. This position is ideal for individuals who are eager to learn and grow within a fast-paced, innovative environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform basic set-ups and operate up to three automatic machines to produce parts according to blueprints, router packages, specifications, and/or special instructions.
- Recognize and detect machine out-of-tolerance conditions and adjust controls or control media as required.
- Check parts for conformance to specifications using gauges, SPC, and shop floor system.
- Remediate minor machine malfunctions and conduct in-process inspections.
- Determine and perform proper feed and speed combinations.
- Provide necessary information to Manufacturing team, Engineering Team, or others to document procedures and drawings.
- Check tooling and rework as needed to keep machines running.
- Lay out parts for successive and continuous machining operations.
- Examine products to verify conformance to quality standards, by following blueprints or work instructions.
- Participate in PSM1 meetings, reporting any ongoing and long-term problems encountered.
- Sustain actions regarding projects and workshops.
- Perform record keeping, data entry, housekeeping, and follow all safety regulations.
- Comply with rules and regulations set forth by Federal, Local, and State government, LISI Aerospace, and HSE Procedures.
- Continuously seek opportunities to improve HSE performance by establishing objectives and targets, measuring progress, and reporting results.
- Work under recommended waste elimination initiatives specifically related to the manufacturing production function such as recycling opportunities to eliminate or minimize production waste.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Minimum of 1 - 3 years of experience and/or training within an Aerospace fastener manufacturing &/or industrial shop; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
