About the role
LISI AEROSPACE is seeking a Production Machine Operator to join our team. This position is responsible for setting up and operating automatic machines to produce parts according to blueprints, router packages, specifications, and/or special instructions.
Responsibilities
- Performs basic sets up and operates up to three automatic machines to produce parts according to blueprints, router package, specifications and/or special instructions.
- Recognizes and detects machine out-of-tolerance and adjusts controls or control media as required.
- Checks parts for conformance to specifications using gauges, SPC and shop floor system.
- Determines and performs proper feed and speed combinations.
- Provides necessary information to Manufacturing team, Engineering Team or others to document procedures and drawings.
- Performs work operations under supervision.
- Lays out parts for successive and continuous machining operations.
- Examines products to verify conformance to quality standards, by following blueprints or work instructions.
- Performs record keeping, data entry, housekeeping, and follows all safety regulations.
- Complies with the rules and regulations set forth by Federal, Local, and State government, LISI Aerospace, and HSE Procedures.
- Attends all training provided and adheres to all HSE procedures, policies, and plans, conforming to reporting requirements, and safe operating procedures at all times.
- Continually seeks opportunities to improve our HSE performance by establishing objectives and targets, measuring progress, and reporting our results.
- Works under recommended waste elimination initiatives specifically related to the manufacturing production function such as recycling opportunities to eliminate or minimize production waste.
- Performs a variety of other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Minimum of 1 - 3 years experience and/or training within an Aerospace fastener manufacturing &/or industrial shop; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Safety and Environmental
- The responsibilities of the position include compliance with company and governmental safety, environmental and hazardous materials regulations and procedures.
- Team Members will be required to wear personal safety equipment such as safety glasses, hearing protection, or proper footwear PPE in specified areas.
