About the role
Since 1949, Central Moloney has been an ISO 9001-certified leader in transformer manufacturing, offering stability, hands-on learning, and a supportive culture. This is a non-exempt, weekend-shift position reporting to the Production Supervisor.
Responsibilities
- Operate coil winding machines with accuracy and care.
- Follow blueprints, specifications, and detailed instructions to produce precise coils.
- Load materials, adjust machine settings, and ensure smooth operation.
- Wind wire around cores/forms to exact specifications.
- Use hand tools to cut, strip, and shape wire.
- Assemble components and perform quality checks.
- Maintain safety, cleanliness, and a continuous improvement mindset.
- Additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Ability to read job instructions and perform basic math.
- Previous manufacturing or machine operation experience preferred.
- Comfortable using manual and powered hand tools.
- Able to lift 50 lbs and work in physically demanding environments.
- Hoist/crane experience and forklift certification are a plus.
- Safety-first attitude and strong attention to detail.
- Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and physical exam.
Working Conditions
- Lifting: Able to lift 50 pounds unassisted.
- Environment: Work in a facility with loud noise, extreme temperatures, and environmental stressors.
- Physical Activities: Sit, stand, walk, bend, climb, crouch, reach, and grasp as needed.
- PPE: Wear required PPE, including eye and hearing protection, gloves, and safety-toe footwear.
- Dexterity and Vision: Manual dexterity and specific vision abilities (close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment).
- Stamina: Stand for long shifts.
- Skills: Effective communication, basic math skills, and teamwork.
- Safety: Adhere to safety protocols and address hazards.
Pay
$22 per hour with opportunities for growth.
Schedule
Friday–Sunday, 6:00 AM – 6:30 PM (with overtime as needed).
