Position and Shift Details

The team of Autovol Solutioneers is seeking a Machine Operator for a new daytime shift from Friday to Sunday, operating 6:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., which is part of a full-time position eligible for the same benefits as other shifts.

Description and Desired Qualifications

Autovol is committed to building a skilled team of Solutioneers who can leverage the latest automation technology. The Machine Operator position is non-exempt and reports to the Production Supervisor. The ideal candidate should be eager to learn, detail-oriented, and focused on team success.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Operate various machine stations within the production lines
  • Operate and monitor ABB robots, Hundegger and SCM automated saws, motorized conveyors, and other equipment
  • Ensure products meet the highest quality standards
  • Drive improvements by suggesting system and routine enhancements
  • Work safely with industrial safety systems while maintaining personal safety
  • Identify and report malfunctions and errors for resolution
  • Communicate effectively with team members to ensure efficient production
  • Perform any other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Ability to read a tape measure and safely operate common hand and power tools
  • Strong drive to maintain stable production and maximize machinery uptime
  • Desire to innovate and create, willing to push the limits of existing technology
  • Willingness to implement processes, instructions, and strategies to improve team performance
  • Proven ability to problem-solve, troubleshoot equipment issues, and perform system testing

Preferred Experience

At least one year of experience working with machines and/or robots, experience with volumetric modular construction, and understanding of industrial robotics and automation technologies.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment

This position requires frequent speaking, listening, sitting, using hands and fingers, and handling objects with appropriate breaks. It is an active position involving standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, and lifting up to 50 pounds. The work environment includes a fast-paced automated manufacturing facility.
