Machine Operator Skid Steer

Archer Western Construction is seeking a Skid-Steer Loader for the I-26/I-95 Interchange Improvement project in Harleyville, SC. This role involves operating a skid-steer loader to construct, maintain, or repair highway, heavy civil, or building structures. Equipment operators may also assist with other duties around the jobsite as needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate a skid-steer loader to dig, excavate, and move/transport materials such as dirt, rocks, and other aggregates.
• Understand operating procedures for loading and unloading materials.
• Perform routine maintenance, including oiling, greasing, and adjusting equipment; conduct daily safety and maintenance checks.
• Complete required paperwork and documentation.
• Assist with other related duties on the jobsite as needed.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of verifiable experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in adverse weather conditions.
• Compliance with all safety policies and procedures; strong communication with co-workers and supervisors.
• Strong work ethic and desire to learn.
• Good manual dexterity; ability to stand, bend, kneel, or sit for long periods.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screening.
