Machine Operator - Second Shift

VAL-CO is a leader in commercial poultry, egg, and swine production equipment, specializing in world-famous commercial poultry watering and feeding systems, as well as ventilation, feed storage, nesting equipment, and rodent and wildlife management. Schedule

• Second shift, Monday through Friday, 2:30 PM to 1:00 AM
• Training will be on first shift (6:00 AM to 2:30 PM)

Pay

• Starts at $18 per hour depending on experience
• Additional $1.50 per hour shift differential ($20.50 per hour including shift premium)
• Weekly pay
• Quarterly incentive bonus
• Voluntary overtime available

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate production machines in accordance with established procedures and guidelines
• Adjust machine settings to complete tasks according to specifications in a timely manner
• Complete required logs and tracking cards
• Ensure machines are maintained for the highest level of productivity
• Perform in-process inspection on components being produced
• Read and interpret basic blueprints and diagrams
• Consult lead person for assistance if uncertain how to proceed
• Ensure proper housekeeping and safety of designated production area

Requirements

• Ability to stand for long periods (8-10 hours per shift)
• Lifting of up to 50 lbs. periodically
• Basic math skills
• Ability to work independently with moderate supervision
• Basic English language skills
