Machine Operator IN (2nd Shift)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintain quality and production standards while operating equipment
• General cleaning of operational equipment (labeler brushes, packer air bags, infeed rails, spills, etc.)
• Possess overall knowledge and understanding of the entire production line
• Packaging and stacking cases
• Inspecting bottles and cases
• Communicating and understanding numerous product changes, boxes, labels, etc.
• Completing necessary paperwork
• Quality at the Source testing, where applicable to operations
• Ensures compliance with corporate standards and systems to monitor food safety, food safety culture, quality and facility cleanliness

Essential Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalent
• Up to one month to three-month related experience or training
• Equivalent combination of education and experience

Skills and Abilities

• Read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
• Write simple correspondence
• Present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other Team Members of the organization
• Add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
• Compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs
• Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
• Deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations

Work Environment

• Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts
• Frequent exposure to wet and/or humid conditions and risk of electrical shock
• Occasional exposure to high, precarious places; toxic or caustic chemicals; and vibration
• Noisy environment
