Responsibilities
- Operates a man-up truck
- Operates drive gasoline- or electric-powered trucks to transport materials between loading, processing, and storage areas
- Operates lifting devices such as forklifts, lift beams, and swivel-hooks, hoists, and elevating platforms to load, unload, transport, and stack material
- Moves pallets, skids, and boxes, and secures material or products for transport to designated areas
- Dumps, sprays, or releases materials into hoppers
- Performs routine maintenance on vehicles and auxiliary equipment
- Cleaning
- Lubricating
- Recharging batteries
- Fueling
- Replacing liquefied-gas tanks
- Completes daily Vehicle Condition Report
- Manually load or unload materials onto or off pallets, skids, platforms, cars, or lifting devices
- Operates or tends automatic stacking, loading, packaging, or cutting machines
- Weighs materials or products and records weight and other production data as required
- Operate and follow instructions as directed by an onboard RF unit
- Records quality and output measures and completes any other necessary paperwork
- Attends any job-related training deemed necessary by supervision
- Follows all established standard operating procedures
- Performs general housekeeping duties as necessary
- Performs other tasks assigned by management
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalency required
- No prior experience required
- Reads and writes in standard English and proficient in performing basic math calculations such as addition and subtraction
- Successful completion of all required on the job training
- Successful completion of all required health and environmental safety training
- Prior experience in a warehouse or as a general laborer preferred

Working Conditions
- Frequently required to reach, handle, stand, walk, sit, and stoop
- Occasionally required to kneel
- Must be able to lift up to 45 pounds frequently throughout a 12 hour shift
- Must be able to work 12 hour shifts either day or night, weekdays or weekends as scheduled
- Work in a normal industrial environment with inherent background noise, dirt, humidity, and temperature variations
- Requires standing more than 2/3 of time
- Requires regular lifting up to 100 pounds
- Requires regular exposure to moving mechanical parts and in precarious places
