Job Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor various production machines, including setup, adjustments, and minor repairs, ensuring optimal performance and product quality.
- Perform routine preventative maintenance on assigned equipment to minimize downtime and extend machine life.
- Monitor production processes, identify potential issues, and troubleshoot machine malfunctions or product defects promptly.
- Load and unload materials and components into machines, ensuring correct placement and orientation.
- Conduct in-process quality checks, inspect finished products for defects, and ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
- Maintain accurate production records, including downtime, output, and quality data.
- Adhere to all safety protocols, company policies, and good manufacturing practices (GMP).
- Collaborate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other departments to achieve production goals.
- Identify and suggest improvements to machine operation, safety, or quality processes.
- Assist with training new operators on machine operation and safety procedures as needed.
Job Qualifications
- A High School Diploma or GED is required.
- A technical certification or vocational training in a relevant field is a plus.
- 4+ years of experience operating production machinery in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and work instructions.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Basic computer proficiency for data entry and machine interface operation.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform repetitive tasks.
- Must be able to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and overtime, as required.
