What You’ll Do

  • Understand and proficiently operate assigned machines/presses.
  • Troubleshoot various machinery problems.
  • Identify and tag tubs according to shop orders.
  • Quality control and document all parts run on machines.
  • Retrieve and enter data into SAP.
  • Inventory components and supplies as needed to ensure efficient and timely production.
  • Maintain a clean work area and tend to other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Basic Qualifications: Eaton will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position.

  • No relocation benefit is offered for this position.
  • Only candidates residing within 50 miles of the Reno, NV facility will be considered for this position.
  • Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
  • Minimum of six (6) months of experience with forming or bending machines.
  • Minimum of six (6) months of experience reading drawings or blueprints.
  • Experience confirming that parts conform to specs using measuring tools.

Position Success Criteria

  • Ability to operate machinery and presses safely.
  • Ability to read, accurately interpret, and produce parts from blueprints and shop drawings.
  • Ability to identify different gauges and types of raw material.
  • Ability to accurately read tape measure, scales, and calipers.
  • Ability to work effectively and productively as member of a team with minimal supervision.

  • Physical Requirements: Able to stand on feet continuously during working shift with or without reasonable accommodations.
  • Able to lift and bend on a continuous basis with or without reasonable accommodations.
  • Able to regularly lift up to 35 pounds with or without reasonable accommodations.
  • Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment as required by company policy and procedure.
  • Working Conditions: Exposure to cold/heat weather conditions while shipping doors are open. Fast-paced working, while maintaining safety priorities.
