Machine Operator II - Presses (2nd Shift)

About the role

Eaton’s ES GEIS BLD division is seeking a Machine Operator II – Presses (2nd Shift) at the Reno, NV facility.

Responsibilities

• Understand and proficiently operate assigned machines/presses
• Troubleshoot various machinery problems
• Identify and tag tubs according to shop orders
• Perform quality control and document all parts run on machines
• Retrieve and enter data into SAP computer system
• Inventory components and supplies as needed to ensure efficient and timely production
• Maintain a clean work area

Requirements

Only candidates residing within 50 miles of the Reno, NV facility will be considered (Active‑Duty Military Service members are exempt from this geographic limitation). Eaton will not provide immigration sponsorship or relocation assistance for this position. Physical requirements include standing continuously, lifting and bending regularly, lifting up to 35 lb unassisted, and wearing required PPE. Working conditions involve exposure to cold/heat when shipping doors are open in a fast‑paced, safety‑focused environment.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a manufacturing environment
• Minimum of six (6) months of experience with forming or bending machines
• Minimum of six (6) months of experience reading drawings or blueprints
• Experience confirming that parts conform to specs using measuring tools

Skills

• Ability to operate machinery and presses safely
• Ability to read, accurately interpret, and produce parts from blueprints and shop drawings
• Ability to identify different gauges and types of raw material
• Ability to accurately read tape measure, scales, and calipers
• Ability to work effectively and productively as a member of a team with minimal supervision

Pay

Hourly rate: $22.73 + $0.50 shift differential per hour.

Schedule

Core hours: 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM (2nd shift).
