What Drives Success
A Machine Operator II for Lennox AES at our Tallassee, AL location is responsible for the operation and basic maintenance of various machinery, ensuring efficient production processes and meeting quality standards. This role may involve setting up and programming machines, conducting more complex troubleshooting, contributing to process improvement initiatives, and assisting in training.
Duties
- Operate assigned machinery in accordance with established procedures and guidelines.
- Set up machines for production runs, including loading materials and adjusting settings.
- Monitor machine outputs to ensure products meet quality standards.
- Maintain accurate records of production runs, machine settings, and any issues encountered.
- Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
- Identify and troubleshoot basic machine malfunctions.
- Perform basic, routine maintenance on machines to ensure they operate smoothly.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding any issues or concerns.
- Collaborate with other departments to coordinate workflow and resolve issues.
- Assist in other production areas as necessary.

Education/Experience
- Previous manufacturing and advanced machine operation experience.
- Basic knowledge of hand and power tools.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and/or assembly instructions.
- Basic knowledge of safety protocols in a manufacturing environment.
- An attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- A high school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
What We Offer
- Compensation: This is an hourly non-exempt role. The starting pay range for this role and market is between $21.00/hour with a shift differential of $2.00. Factors that may affect starting pay include geography/market, and the skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. Employees in this role are also eligible to earn overtime when they work more than 40 hours in a week (or as otherwise required by state law).
