Machine Operator II-3rd Shift

About the role

Quanex is looking for a Machine Operator II-3rd Shift to join our team located in Thomasville, NC. The Machine Operator II is responsible for supporting the manufacturing process by sorting, grinding, and restocking ground material for reprocessing in the mixing area. The position offers a 4-day work week and a dynamic culture and people.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and verify the performance of assigned machines.
• Accurately label all containers of regrind material.
• Collect and manage scrap from up to 49 machines per shift.
• Operate grinding equipment to process scrap by material type and color.
• Complete required inspection and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) reports.
• Collaborate with leadership to address any quality concerns in a timely manner.
• Maintain a clean, organized and safe work area.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of injection molding machines preferred but not required.

Pay

The hourly wage for this position is $17.00/hr plus $1.00/shift differential.

Schedule

Sunday-Wednesday 10:00 PM - 8:00 AM.
