Machine Operator II -3rd Shift
About the role
Incumbents of this role tend to automatic or semi-automatic machines in a continuous production/processing operation, following production/process specifications or instructions as documented and directed. Incumbents monitor meters, gauges, and related controls and guidelines to ensure adherence to production/process specifications, while performing all work in accordance with established safety and quality procedures.
Essential Functions And Responsibilities
- Operates machinery according to specifications to maximize production yields and minimize down time.
- Performs set up, machine operation, maintenance and change over procedures on assembly machines within the parameters referenced.
- Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) Certified; demonstrates Lockout/Tagout procedures are met per company standards.
- Maintains operating records as required. Includes maintaining machine log books and other company records for auditing purposes according to relevant Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions (WIS).
- Starts and stops machines, and complies with emergency E-stops, and Lockout/Tagout procedures.
- Reads machine control panels and touch screens; monitors digital communication equipment. Know, identify and correct system errors and faults.
- Troubleshoots any malfunctions and report abnormalities to the Production Leader/Supervisor.
- Makes minor adjustments and repairs to equipment within written work instructions.
- Adheres to Standard Operating Procedures, current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), safety, and housekeeping requirements; may train others as assigned.
- Verifies components prior to use, and reporting any discrepancies to the Production Leader/Supervisor.
- Operate, set-up and run Drum-Tote Filler.
Qualifications
Requires high ability to read, understand and implement the many required Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions (WIS). Proficiency will be obtained through on-the-job training. Requires previous mechanical experience with manufacturing equipment. Knowledge of troubleshooting equipment and ability to use this equipment. Experience with training others through on-the-job training. High school diploma or graduate equivalent examination completed.

Pay
The starting pay rate for this role is 22.19 per hour.
