Responsibilities

  • Assists in manufacturing laminate flooring panels by operating various automated industrial machinery components on the Press production lines to meet the required quality specifications.
  • Responsible for quality inspections and testing throughout shift, with attention to identifying quality and manufacturing defects.
  • Gains understanding of correct parameters specific to Press Department processes to minimize defect opportunities and apply knowledge to increase production output.
  • Trains to perform necessary adjustments to production line, including plate changes, via feedback from automated systems monitoring and product specifications.
  • Adheres to Company and Department standards regarding documentation, set up procedures, production procedures, and quality guidelines.
  • Understands and follows all Company and Department safety policies, including personal protective equipment and alternate work procedures.
  • Attends any job-related training deemed necessary by supervision.
  • Attends pre-shift meetings.
  • Performs other tasks assigned by management.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 1+ year experience in a manufacturing setting preferred.
  • 1+ year familiarity with production mechanical systems preferred.
  • 1+ year training in quality processes or procedures preferred.
  • Prior experience with troubleshooting machinery preferred.

Qualifications

  • Moderate computer literacy preferred (data input in Excel, navigating HMI).
  • Ability to troubleshoot independently through use of problem-solving skills and critical thinking required.
  • Excellent attention to detail required.
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team setting, including communication with various other Departments via radio, phone, and in-person conversations.
