Responsibilities
- Assists in manufacturing laminate flooring panels by operating various automated industrial machinery components on the Press production lines to meet the required quality specifications.
- Responsible for quality inspections and testing throughout shift, with attention to identifying quality and manufacturing defects.
- Gains understanding of correct parameters specific to Press Department processes to minimize defect opportunities and apply knowledge to increase production output.
- Trains to perform necessary adjustments to production line, including plate changes, via feedback from automated systems monitoring and product specifications.
- Adheres to Company and Department standards regarding documentation, set up procedures, production procedures, and quality guidelines.
- Understands and follows all Company and Department safety policies, including personal protective equipment and alternate work procedures.
- Attends any job-related training deemed necessary by supervision.
- Attends pre-shift meetings.
- Performs other tasks assigned by management.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- 1+ year experience in a manufacturing setting preferred.
- 1+ year familiarity with production mechanical systems preferred.
- 1+ year training in quality processes or procedures preferred.
- Prior experience with troubleshooting machinery preferred.
Qualifications
- Moderate computer literacy preferred (data input in Excel, navigating HMI).
- Ability to troubleshoot independently through use of problem-solving skills and critical thinking required.
- Excellent attention to detail required.
- Ability to work both independently and within a team setting, including communication with various other Departments via radio, phone, and in-person conversations.
