Machine Operator (C) - 2nd shift

About the role

Barnes Aerospace West Chester MRO is seeking a Machine Operator to set up and operate CNC Grinder, EDM, or Laser machines, ensuring parts conform to specification and requirements. This position requires considerable attention to detail to produce the highest level of quality and productivity against established standards.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC Grinder, EDM, or Laser machines to ensure parts conform to specifications and requirements.
• Monitor parts dimensions using jigs, fixtures, gages, calipers, micrometers, and height gages to assure conformity.
• Complete paperwork required to document the quality of parts completed.
• Check paperwork to determine required assembly and any special options.
• Assemble components by examining connections for correct fit, fastening parts and sub-assemblies per customer order.
• Use precision measuring tools to check parts for correct fit and dimensions.
• Build electrodes for Fast Hole EDM.

Requirements

• Able to use basic math to add, subtract, multiply, or divide and may work with fractions, decimals, or percentages.
• Able to follow simple instructions or directions.
• Able to communicate verbally and in writing regarding work requirements, work in progress, or work completion.
• Ability to meet deadlines.
• Two years of experience in a production/shop position.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

This position is safety-sensitive. Applicant must comply with all applicable FAA and DOT drug and alcohol testing rules.
