Machine Operator
What You Get To Do

Maximize equipment effectiveness and productivity and eliminate all machine losses.
Create a sense of ownership with equipment and team members through respect, involvement, and training.
Promote continuous improvement through small-group activities involving production, maintenance, engineering, 5S, inside and outside resources.
Identify and troubleshoot machine issues as needed.
Mentor, coach, and lead other personnel on the machine to run effectively.
Train coworkers on proper operating techniques, knowledge, and practices.
Oversee new hire training for respective machine.
Practice good housekeeping – including sweeping, dusting, wiping of tables, etc.
Actively participate in all required trainings including but not limited to safety and technical trainings.
Responsible for inspecting product at required frequency.
Responsible for packaging all goods produced.
Responsible for trimming and accuracy of all goods produced.
Responsible for data accuracy of all transactions performed.

Physical Requirements
This position requires an employee to stand, walk and sit, and work at a computer for extended periods of time.
Frequent exposure to a manufacturing environment with moderate noise levels.
Potential contact with chemicals and cleaning supplies, and ability to lift up to 50 pounds is a requirement.
Operators are required to maneuver around and inside small areas to make machine adjustments during setups, changeovers, and troubleshooting.
