Basic Scope/Purpose
Provides full maintenance support coverage for all manufacturing departments as needed.
Principal Accountabilities
- Perform all responsibilities in a safe manner using the Take 5 system for all non-standard work.
- Perform scheduled maintenance activities on all processing equipment.
- Diagnose and repair equipment failures.
- Recommend and implement changes that will improve equipment reliability.
- Support production as needed.
- Determine material required for necessary repairs.
- Utilize skills and knowledge in performance of daily repairs (electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic of processing equipment).
- Inform department supervisor/manager of diagnosis, approximate repair time and assistance required for specific project/department.
- Follow all procedures such as lockout/tag out and safety procedures.
- Complete all jobs in an orderly manner.
- Strive for breakdown recurrence prevention.
- Communicate effectively with associates, managers, etc. (written and verbal).
- Shares information / issues with relevant personnel.
- Contributes to the team effort by listening to and using good judgment of co-worker’s ideas; training associates as needed; accomplishing related results as needed.
- Manage projects as assigned.
- Assist in monitoring all contractors on site and that they follow all applicable rules.
- Use ERP System to enter order requisition and check on purchase orders.
- Willing to work overtime as needed.
- Maintain and promote Fenner Precision Polymers’ values and behaviors at all times.
- Performs all the tasks related to machinery outlined in Manufacturing Support Mechanic I.
