Machine Assistant Operator - Coater

Key Responsibilities
- Assist with machine setup, startup, operation, and shutdown
- Learn and operate online support equipment, including HMI systems (SCADA, Wonderware), camera systems, thickness gauges and UV lights, viscometers, corona treaters, web cleaners, and edge guides
- Perform Make Ready tasks, including proper die setups, pump setups, hose making
- Learn and follow TPM (Total Preventive Maintenance) practices
- Understand FIFO, material usage, and material charging procedures
- Perform basic troubleshooting as required
- Follow applicable quality system procedures and documentation
- Coincide material handling in support of production
- Aid in accurate time and material accounting
- Participate in quality issue resolution and communication
- Maintain proficiency in all tasks listed in the employee training record
- Participate in ongoing training, team activities, and continuous improvement efforts
Skills & Qualifications
- Ability to read and write
- Ability to perform basic math using a calculator
- Ability to read a tape measure accurately
- Basic computer skills (email and electronic documentation)
- Good hand-eye coordination
- Self-motivated with the ability to work with limited supervision
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team-based environment
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. multiple times per shift
- Ability and willingness to complete powered industrial vehicle (PIV) training and certification, if required
