Responsibilities

  • Ensure personal safety by wearing appropriate PPE which may include respiratory protection, hearing protection, foot, hand, head, and eye protection.
  • Proactively promote The McWane Way principles.
  • Analyze and review supply chain data to identify and resolve issues.
  • Perform regular stock checks and report any issues to the supervisor.
  • Maintain and update inventory records.
  • Perform regular audits to ensure inventory integrity and compliance with company policies.
  • Investigate (root cause) and resolve inventory discrepancies and errors.
  • Create Purchase Orders to cover shortages.
  • Monitor past dues, and contact suppliers for revised delivery dates.
  • Investigate and correct inventory variances.
  • Cookordination with Planning/Production to maintain accurate productions schedules.
  • Develop proposals to improve productivity.
  • Develop and monitor metrics related to inventory accuracy.
  • Work with cross functional teams to execute yearly physical inventory.
  • Coordinate with cross functional team for obsolete inventory coordination.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies regarding inventory storage and handling.
  • Maintain a clean and organized inventory area to prevent accidents and damage.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma (or equivalent) required.
  • Minimum 2 years of related work experience in Inventory Control in a manufacturing environment.
  • Understanding of Material/Logistics/Manufacturing processes and material flow.
  • Any major ERP/MRP experience.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with cross-functional teams.
  • Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Sound decision making and strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills to coordinate others to accomplish goals.
  • Strong work ethic, integrity, and flexibility.
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Microsoft Office Applications (Excel/Outlook) experience preferred.
