Responsibilities
- Ensure personal safety by wearing appropriate PPE which may include respiratory protection, hearing protection, foot, hand, head, and eye protection.
- Proactively promote The McWane Way principles.
- Analyze and review supply chain data to identify and resolve issues.
- Perform regular stock checks and report any issues to the supervisor.
- Maintain and update inventory records.
- Perform regular audits to ensure inventory integrity and compliance with company policies.
- Investigate (root cause) and resolve inventory discrepancies and errors.
- Create Purchase Orders to cover shortages.
- Monitor past dues, and contact suppliers for revised delivery dates.
- Investigate and correct inventory variances.
- Cookordination with Planning/Production to maintain accurate productions schedules.
- Develop proposals to improve productivity.
- Develop and monitor metrics related to inventory accuracy.
- Work with cross functional teams to execute yearly physical inventory.
- Coordinate with cross functional team for obsolete inventory coordination.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies regarding inventory storage and handling.
- Maintain a clean and organized inventory area to prevent accidents and damage.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma (or equivalent) required.
- Minimum 2 years of related work experience in Inventory Control in a manufacturing environment.
- Understanding of Material/Logistics/Manufacturing processes and material flow.
- Any major ERP/MRP experience.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with cross-functional teams.
- Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy.
- Sound decision making and strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Strong communication and organizational skills to coordinate others to accomplish goals.
- Strong work ethic, integrity, and flexibility.
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Microsoft Office Applications (Excel/Outlook) experience preferred.
