Valve Technician (Augusta, GA) - Austin Industrial (NUTR)

Responsibilities
- Conduct hands-on maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of pressure relief valves according to established procedures and safety guidelines.
- Assess the condition of valves, identify issues, and recommend appropriate repair or replacement solutions.
- Ensure that all equipment and tools are properly maintained and calibrated for optimal performance.
- Pre-test, disassemble, clean, inspect, machine, lap, prepare surfaces, paint, assemble, test, and inspect various types of valves.
- Calibrate and test valves, related instruments, and instrumentation.
- Document repair, testing, and assembly activities - cause of failure, actions taken, parts used, etc.
- Set up and take down of required repair equipment in the shop.
- Execute work in adherence to the guidelines stated under a National Board VR/UV program.
- Reference appropriate technical sources.
- Complete site-specific safety requirements.
- Maintain a clean work environment.
- Participate and involve in Safety and Quality programs.
Qualifications
- Required: 1-3 years industry-related experience and/or training.
- Preferred: 3-5 years of experience in an industrial setting.
- Must be able to work off hours, weekends, and overtime on a short notice basis based on plant needs.
- Must be able to operate repair equipment such as overhead cranes, forklifts, sand blasters, seat facing machines, lift assist devices, and power tools.
- Must pass medical and background check as a condition of employment.

Schedule
This is a full-time maintenance job working 40 hours a week.
Physical Demands
Lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs. Turn and twist while lifting or moving. Navigate/stair climb ladders and scaffolding at least 10-30 feet in the air and sometimes higher.
